Acupuncture

Acupuncture has been practiced for thousands of years. It has been shown to relieve pain and inflammation, stimulate the nervous system, help with immune and reproductive regulation, enhance performance, provide stress relief, and so much more!

FAQ:

Does it hurt? Rarely! Acupuncture uses very small needles that many pets don't even feel. We adjust the size and amount of the needles used based on each pet's individual response so that it is the best experience we can offer your pet.

How often does my pet need it? It depends. Typically, we start with once weekly appointments for a minimum of 5 treatments to assess response. Some pets see improvement after the first treatment and some may take a few treatments to see results. Then, the goal is to space out those appointments as far as is tolerated by your pet. We will tailor a plan for each individual.

What can acupuncture be used for? Just about anything!

  • Cancer and chemotherapy side-effects
  • Arthritis/Pain
  • Seizures
  • Kidney Disease
  • Liver Disease
  • Allergies
  • Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD)
  • Anxiety
  • & so much more!

Herbal Medicine

Dr. Jenn has specialized training in both Traditional Chinese herbs as well as western herbal medications and supplements. Herbs can be used alone or in combination with other modalities. Often, they can even be used with your pets' regular medications to achieve the best outcome for your pet.

Food Therapy

Tailored dietary plans designed to enhance your pet's health and vitality.

Traditional Chinese Medicine Food Therapy has been used for medicine in both animals and people for thousands of years. Food therapy uses the thermal energetics of foods to treat a condition. It can also be used as preventative medicine to help support your pet's specific needs. We can help you formulate specific diets for your pet that can be homemade or recommend specific foods and ingredients that can be used in conjunction with available commercial diets.

Vaccines and Titers

We offer core vaccines for your pet. We believe that while vaccination is important to overall health, over vaccination can also be a problem. That is why we offer vaccine titers for Distemper, Parvo, and Rabies. We always offer the option to take home a detox blend after any vaccination to help your pets body respond and recover quickly.

Wellness and bloodwork

We offer wellness exams and lab work from the convenience of your own home. It helps take the stress off of having to go into a clinic! Since Dr. Jenn does not travel with a technician, you may be asked to hold your pets for exam and sample collection. If needed, we will discuss various options to ensure you are comfortable with this process.

Holistic Health Consultations

The best way to treat the whole pet

All initial visits will include a total holistic health consultation. Whether you're looking for a natural way to take care of your new puppy or kitten, or treat your senior's many health concerns, this is the place to start. During your initial holistic health consult, you and Dr. Jenn will discuss your pet's history, current medications, supplements, diet, and overall wellbeing. Dr. Jenn will set up a tailored plan for you and your pet for optimal wellness. Any concerns you have for your pet can be addressed at these consults. Acupuncture is included for these consultations as needed.
